Matteo Pistillo

Matteo is a Research Scholar at the Legal Priorities Project. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, and the intersection between the regulation of emerging technologies and international dispute resolution. Matteo holds a J.D., cum laude, from Università di Torino and an LL.M. from Stanford Law School, which he attended while on a Fulbright Scholarship. Prior to joining the Legal Priorities Project, Matteo worked for five years in cross-border commercial dispute resolution as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Matteo is involved in many tech-related initiatives and is a member of Stanford AI Alignment (SAIA) and the Artificial Intelligence Task Force of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center (SVAMC).
