Applications for the SRF 2021 are now open! We are looking for up to 15 excellent graduate law students, PhD candidates, and postdocs who will join the Legal Priorities Project for a fixed period of 10 weeks. Students approaching the final year of a 5-year undergraduate law degree are also welcome to apply. Fellows will take the lead on a research project, with mentorship and support from LPP researchers. The expected output is a research article or similar on a question relevant to the long-term future in one of our focus areas. You may want to consult our research agenda to learn more about longtermist legal research.
The fellowship will take place between mid-May and late July and will include a 2-week symposium at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City, presumably from July 12th to July 24th. Fellows will receive a stipend of USD 7,000, which includes travel expenses. The rest of the fellowship will be remote. If you are interested in carrying out longtermist legal research in fields such as artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, or institutional design, we invite you to apply.
If you think you could be a good fit for the program but are unsure if you would qualify, we strongly encourage you to simply apply, or get in touch with us at email@example.com with your questions.
